Ashley Glosson works for the USDA APHIS Veterinary Services’ National Preparedness and Incident Coordination Staff. In her current role, she provides program guidance, develops processes, procedures, and recommendations supporting the overarching Veterinary Services national preparedness and response policy for a foreign or domestic animal health disease. Prior to joining USDA, Ashley was a Global Senior Program Manager for the bioinformatics arm of an information technology company. In that capacity she managed cross-functional teams contributing to the successful development and launch of a bioinformatics platform focused on next-generation, short- and long-read sequencing, single-cell profiling, library design, and nucleic acid protocols designed to extract biologic and mechanistic insights for pharma discovery. She also worked for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s Transformational Medical Technologies Initiative as a Researcher and Operations Program Manager focused on the discovery and development of vaccines and biologics for viral hemorrhagic fevers. In this role, Ashley conducted comprehensive analyses of vaccine and therapeutic candidates for efficacy and target efficiency including the review of research findings in non-human primate large animal model clinical trials. Ashley is a double alumnus of Northeastern University where she received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees. She also has a Master of Public Health from New York Medical College’s School of Health Sciences and Practice, and is a current Doctor of Health Sciences Candidate at the A.T. Still University College of Graduate Health Studies.
