In her role, Sharon provides strategic, operational, and technical leadership and support in the critical area of food safety and quality for the 6 manufacturing facilities, as well as customers and suppliers.

Sharon brings over 40 years’ experience in food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Starting with humble beginnings in the industry as a 2nd shift QC technician at Land O'Frost of Indiana, Sharon has held roles of increasing responsibility with several food companies including, US Foods, Maple Leaf Foods, Smithfield Packing, Tyson Foods/IBP, Orval Kent Food, and Arby’s Restaurants.

Sharon is actively engaged in the industry and is past Chair for the Beef Industry Food Safety Council (BIFSCo), has served on the American Meat Science Association Board of Directors (AMSA), was the 2017 RMC chair, currently serves on the AMSA Development Council and shows up on the talking circuit every now and again for Women in Agribusiness, the University of Wisconsin’s Food Safety and Meat Microbiology school and the Food Safety Summit.

Sharon studied at Cornell University in New York where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Foods. Her motto is “You control how you respond to the stimulus. Choose to be fabulous and choose to be kind”.
