Paula’s career in the meat industry began in 2001 at Foodbrands, a division of IBP Inc., in Ft. Worth, TX in Research & Development. In nearly 25 years, her experience includes a variety of roles in Research & Development, Food Safety Quality Assurance (Beef, Chicken, Pork and Case Ready), Technical Services, Hides & Tannery Operations and Animal Welfare.

Her current responsibilities include providing leadership, development and administration of global policies and practices related to animal welfare; the creation and management of animal welfare training programs; creation and management of various in-plant animal welfare programs; management of the beef supply chain FarmCheck™ program, managing live animal raising claim programs and providing technical service to the cattle procurement team.

Paula serves as a foundation red meat trainer for the Professional Animal Auditor Certification Organization.

Paula resides in Southwest Kansas with her husband, Clint, a Professor of Animal Science and meat judging team coach and their daughter, Paxton.
