Paul Kafer is the Principal and Managing Member of Anabasis Technical Consulting, LLC, formed in November 2020. He previously served as Leader of Engineering and Major Projects for Darigold, Inc. where he was responsible for engineering, maintenance and automation activities across 11 plants in the Pacific Northwest. Prior to joining Darigold, Paul was Vice President of Engineering at Smithfield Foods, where he spent over 20 years and, among many other accomplishments, provided leadership to successfully design, construct and start up a state-of-the-art plant in Zhengzhou, China, including training of operations and maintenance teams. Paul was named MEAT+POULTRY Operations Executive of the Year for 2017. Paul graduated from Clarkson University with BS in Chemical Engineering, and from Fairleigh Dickinson University with MBA in Industrial Management.
