Meat and Poultry companies are required to notify FSIS within 24 hours of learning or determining adulterated or misbranded product was received or shipped into commerce in accordance with 9 CFR 418.2  When companies face this situation it is important to know what is required and best practices for notification to ensure companies provide an accurate representation of the incident. This session will provide an overview of the requirements for notification, best practices, and the new options for industry to notify within FSIS’ Adulterated Product Monitoring (APM) system .
