The impacts of food safety reach beyond public health and regulatory actions.  Adulterated products can result in foodborne illness “mass tort” litigation as well commercial litigation between suppliers and customers, especially when recalls are involved.  This presentation discusses how regulatory findings and enforcement activities can drive civil litigation and how to best prepare for and manage the risk of litigation.
