Kelly Rhodes is a Sustainability Consultant at Pinion where she helps industry members across the supply chain build sustainability programs, develop sustainability metrics, analyze data, and report on progress on goals. Before joining KCoe, Kelly developed sustainability programs for food manufacturing companies, including building the sustainability department at PURIS. Kelly also created a pilot project to implement regenerative agriculture practices with farmers, resulting in carbon credit program enrollment. While working at Cargill, she contributed to developing their BeefUp Sustainability Initiative and created an interactive tool to model the environmental impact of cattle feed. Kelly’s direct farmer experience and in-house subject matter expertise give her a unique perspective on business needs and sustainability strategies. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN.

Sam Henke is a Senior Sustainability Consultant with Pinion’s sustainability division. Sam provides strategic insights and technical expertise for food industry clients across the supply chain. From producers and ag industry associations to CPG and consumer-facing food brands, he helps to create value through managing and analyzing data, applying niche industry knowledge, and innovating solutions to sustainability reporting and communications challenges.
Sam is a certified Sustainability Excellence Associate through the International Society of Sustainability Professionals and has experience in sustainability program development and sustainability reporting with Perdue Premium Meat Company, Boulder Organic Foods, and National Co-operative Grocers. Sam completed a graduate certificate in GHG Accounting and a Masters of the Environment (MENV) degree at the University of Colorado – Boulder, with a concentration in Sustainable Food Systems, and has a BA in Environmental Writing from the University of Michigan.
