Rebecca joined Control Union in 2017 as business and human rights subject matter expert and Global Social Compliance Steering Committee Vice Chair. She collaborates daily with partners across the globe to coordinate services for thousands of human rights and social compliance verifications each year across the manufacturing, agricultural, and service sectors within the supply chains of brands such as Amazon, Nestle, Unilever, PepsiCo, Walmart, Costco, Mars, and many more. Rebecca’s experience includes a decade of work in the global development community, along with hundreds of field visits in the US, Canada, Central America, EMEA, and APAC. Most recently, she co-developed the Prevented Ocean Plastic Standard for plastics recyclers; and the Control Union Gender Assessment Framework for brands and suppliers seeking to benchmark and improve their gender equity performance. Rebecca is a native of the state of Georgia; she holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and an MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology; and certificates in Design for the Public Interest from the SEED Institute and Creating Inclusive and Equitable Cultures from the Center for Nonprofit Management. In her spare time, she loves to read (fiction and artist biographies), attend music festivals, and explore the outdoors.
