Creating Collaborative Communications at Work - This highly experiential, hands-on part of the workshop is based on Marshall Rosenberg's work on communicating and listening more effectively using Nonviolent Communication (NVC). We will cover the four fundamental steps of nonviolent communication: observing without judging, expressing feelings when observing, expressing and clarifying one's needs to the feelings one observes, and expressing specific requests. Collaborative communication skills are examined and practiced to develop strategies to meet all people’s fundamental needs in a conversation. After the workshop, participants can continue with mini-practice sessions in safe spaces to encourage them to communicate with empathy and clarity. This style of dialog requires building a safe space and trust. When you and your teams feel heard by others, trust will rise.

Consciously Managing Complexity is an experiential, hands-on workshop that supports business leaders with tools to navigate and manage complex systems with adaptive, creative, strategic approaches. Consciously managing complexity in a business context is broadly a function of four different strategies or tactics. You'll engage in simulations to practice categorizing different systems, utilize checklists in managing simulated simple systems, and collaborate with fellow participants in expert groups to tackle complicated scenarios. Emphasizing a 'manage, not solve' philosophy, you'll navigate complex situations through role-playing exercises and develop your “complexity mindset” with creative problem-solving tasks. You'll be equipped to recognize, understand, and effectively manage various systems in your professional environment.

Learning & Applying Psychological Safety - In this part of our immersive workshop, participants will delve into the concept of psychological safety and its pivotal role in fostering a culture conducive to open idea-sharing, enhancing DE&I, and driving team performance. Drawing from Google's findings on high-performing teams and the essential elements of communication, empathy, and safety, the session emphasizes the creation of clear engagement guidelines as the cornerstone of effective teamwork. Through stories, dialogues, and appreciative inquiry, attendees will explore collaborative dynamics and gain practical tools and strategies to elevate their team's cohesion, trust, and efficiency, preparing them to navigate today's demanding work environments with greater alignment and support.
